This article aimed to study the effect of trafficking on Iran's economic security. This is an applied, descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population consisted of police officers working in Criminal Investigation Department of Law Enforcement Force of Islamic Republic of Iran and students of Amin Police Academy. A total of 120 members were enrolled as the sample using random sampling. Data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire. Face validity and the comments of researchers were employed to verify the validity. The Cronbach's alpha was 0.88 showing that the reliability was verified. Pearson correlation test was employed to analyze the data. The results showed that trafficking was effective in economic security. The increase in trafficking results in reducing public participation, political stability, legal system health, administration system health, quick access to essential and strategic goods, and country's economic growth. On the other hand, the increase in trafficking leads to increasing political violence.
